Small apartment interior design developed with a young couple’s needs in mind. The apartment consists of a living room with kitchen and dining areas, a small bedroom and a tiny bathroom. The design explores a sophisticated color scheme in warm earthy hues, and incorporates a charming mix of modern elements with classical details.
The living room is small but a good use has been made of the tight space through a practical furniture layout. The functional zoning includes a cooking area, a dining nook and an entertainment corner. The furnishings have a traditional appeal with shaker style doors and fronts. The kitchen area is equipped with modern built-in appliances – refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, hob and range hood. The dining area is simply, yet elegantly designed with a round table and a set of four wooden chairs with a modern appeal. The sitting area nearby features a two-seat couch, knitted pouf seats and a vintage coffee table. The floor throughout the space is laid with dark laminate that also goes on the feature wall behind the couch. All other walls are painted in a light neutral shade. Lighting options include recessed lights and two ceiling lamps.
The bedroom is also tight in space but has all necessities – a comfy bed with two bedside tables and a built-in wardrobe with just enough storage space for clothes and personal belongings. The lighting choice is set on a ceiling lamp and recessed lights. A soft carpet and satin curtains put the final touch in the design and inspire a sense of warmth and comfort. The floor is in dark laminate as in the living room and the walls are painted in eggshell white.
The bathroom is set in light colors to make up for its small size. The patterned tiles have add a nice decorative touch. The bathroom is equipped with a corner shower cubicle with sliding glass doors, a toilet seat and a bathroom vanity with sink and mirror. Recessed lights are chosen for the ceiling that is finished in white stucco.
